The Oakridge Practice
The Oakridge Practice first opened in January 2002 by Christine Miles Chiropodist/Podiatrist. The building was converted from the former Colney Street Post Office; many locals will remember the previous owner Margaret who used to run the shop and post office. After a lot of work, the ground floor now consists of three treatment/consulting rooms and a reception area. Luckily planning permission was granted for the garden behind the building to be made into a car park which has been a great advantage to everyone who uses the practice.
Although The Practice is on the busy main road right opposite an industrial estate, it backs onto beautiful old pasture land. The views from the back of the building reach over to Hill Farm on the ridge to the south. Fortunately all the treatment rooms are at the back of the building so once inside the building it is quite peaceful!
